Norfolk High Cross Country is hosting its 1st annual summer kickoff fun run on the Skyview Lake cross country course on May 30, 2026 with a 5k Men’s and Women’s race, along with a 1k kids fun run for grades 6 and under. Former Norfolk High Cross Country Coach, Lyle Moeller, will be the honorary starter for the races. We are contacting as many alumni as possible in hopes that they will be able to come back to run in the race and reconnect with Coach Moeller and their teammates. This would also be a great opportunity for all former Norfolk alumni to get together and catch up. The fun run is also a community event, as the race is open to anyone in the general public to sign up and run.

We are planning live music, a DJ, and a concession stand serving hot dogs, hamburgers, candy and drinks. There will be awards for the top finishers in the race. Each race registrant will receive a t-shirt, with the general public getting a white shirt and Norfolk alumni getting a special maroon shirt. The funds generated from this event will go to support Norfolk Cross Country.
