Spring is Coming
First day of spring is March 20, 2025
Does it really feel like spring when that date rolls around? Sometimes… sometimes it feels like spring prior to that, we like to call these occurrences, “Fake Spring”. Either way, it is safe to say, we are all a little tired of the cold weather and spring is much anticipated!
Things we get to look forward to in the Norfolk area as the weather sets into an upward trend are vast, but here is a week’s worth of ideas.
Shop for a new “in-season” fashionable wardrobe.
For men, women, and children, Downtown Norfolk River Point District and the Sunset Plaza Mall offer many options like Smitten and Steel, Kookaburra’s Kloset, Kohl’s & Renegade!
Take in early blooms with a stroll or bike ride along the Cowboy Trail.
While you have your bike out, head over to the Skate Park and try your skill on one of the ramps or sit back and watch others bunny hop.
Waddle your way around the Norfolk Public Library Storybook Walk with their latest story “One Duck Stuck”.
Pitch Horseshoes at Ta-Ha-Zouka Park or Memorial Park in Madison.
Plan a picnic at Johnson Park, while you’re there, check out the nature playground and watch the waves at the North Fork Whitewater Park.
Enjoy a walk around Skyview Lake while indulging in a fun game of disc golf.
Try your hand at angling at one of the area’s lakes. Ta-Ha-Zouka was recently stocked with 1,500 Cutbow Trout. Will you make a catch?
