Lying in the heart of the River Point area of Norfolk, NE, the Norfolk River Point inn is an eight room boutique hotel, with large accommodating two suite rooms and located near night life offering food and beverage, pubs, taprooms, as well as music, comedy, and entertainment. Rooms are furnished with reclaimed furniture and are designed for comfort, a little old time charm, brick and stone walls, and retaining a slightly industrial feel. The original building was built in the 1880s and renovated in 2021, with the shell of the building retained, but much of the building totally reconstructed. Norfolk River Point Inn is located in a walkable neighborhood which is well lit with parking located within one block of the lodging. Divots Downtown tap room ( affiliated with Divots Brewery ) and restaurant will feature a wood burning pizza oven, Italian cuisine, and will offer outdoor dining behind the restaurant, and is next door to the hotel with anticipated opening in July of 2022. Downtown Norfolk continues to expand with new projects including a distillery, cigar shop, and chocolate shop. Johnson Park, with a great playground and area for walking and relaxing is two blocks away, as well as the Elkhorn River, which will develop a water ride feature expected to complete in 2023. There are presently walking and biking trails along the Elkhorn River and many great sites to see for both families and business travelers.
