We are adding a 3 hour time frame. \n\nLocation \nWillow Creek State Recreation Area (SRA) is a state park in northeastern Nebraska\, United States. The recreation area is located on the 700 acre Willow Creek Reservoir\, approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) southwest of Pierce\, or about 15 miles (24 km) northwest of Norfolk. The recreation area is managed by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. \nLodging \nWillow Creek State Recreation Area offers Electric Plus\, Electric\, Basic\, Equestrian Electric Plus and Equestrian Basic camping. \nWillow Way Campground includes 165 campsites with electricity and numerous Basic campsites for those that do not need electricity. Additional amenities include picnic tables\, fire ring/grills\, drinking water\, dump and fill station\, modern restrooms\, showers and laundry. The dump and fill station is located in the town of Pierce\, about 5 miles from the lake. Willow Creek SRA campers can find the dump and fill station next to the Pierce County Courthouse. \nReservations may be made for half of the campsites at Willow Creek SRA and the remainder are available first-come\, first-served. Those camping first-come\, first-served register their nightly camping fees in a raised\, locked box called an iron ranger. Self-service envelopes are provided at each iron ranger station. Check or cash only. Iron rangers are generally located near the park entrance or in the campground area. On-site camping informational signs are provided to help guide campers with the self-registration process.

She’s written a column called “Novel Thoughts” for sixteen years for the Norfolk Daily News where she shares her love of classic literature and book-related topics twice a month\, she is the current secretary of the Nebraska Writers Guild\, and she writes two Substack publications. She’s the mother of two grown children\, was host mom to multiple exchange students\, is a member of the American Legion Riders\, owns and rides a Harley\, and is a dog lover. Aside from writing and reading\, Tammy loves to travel\, swim\, cross-stitch\, do puzzles\, paint with watercolor\, and she’s attempting to learn to play the piano.
