Norfolk Parks and Recreation Department is now partnering with Buddy Baseball
Activity Description:
Buddy Baseball is a program designed to guide special needs children while they learn the sport of baseball.
Each special needs child will be paired with a typical child during practice and games. This will help provide a comfortable safe learning environment.
The program registration will start February 15th and the deadline will be March 15th.
The program will start this upcoming April. There will be a parent’s Meeting on Saturday, March 30th before everything gets started. More details will follow after the registration deadline.
Games will be on Saturday mornings starting at 10:00 am.
April 6, 13, 20, 27 and May 4. There will be a team picture before the first game on April 6.
The season will conclude with a banquet after the last game on Saturday, May 4th.
All games and practices will be played on field 4 at the Ta-Ha Zouka Sports Complex.
Teams will be made up of 5 to 6 six players depending on registration.
Official practice and game schedules will be emailed out after the registration closes.
This program is open to 8 to 22 year old’s.
Each person will be asked to bring a glove, bat, and helmet. Equipment can also be provided for families in need.
Registration fee is $25.
